The sample computation can always be tailored fit to your future needs. Keep in mind that the monthly premium always depends on your current age and health status. However, the approval of your insurance application varies on a few other factors like health declaration, hobbies, profession, etc.
  • Face Amount is the amount of coverage of an insurance policy. This is also called as "Sum Assured". In most cases, the Face Amount is also the death benefit, but there are policies in which the death benefit is expressed as a certain percentage of the Face Amount.
  • Life Insurance Coverage the base amount of coverage as soon as the policy is in forced.
  • Critical Illness Benefit (CIB) is the benefit received by the life insured if he/she has been diagnosed, while living, to have contracted any one or more of the following Critical Illnesses mentioned in the Proposal or has undergone any of the specified surgeries.
  • Accidental Death, Dismemberment, Disablement Benefi (ADDDB) is the amount received by the life insured if he/she dies or suffers an injury from accident which occurs within one year from the date of accident and such death or injury resulted, directly and independently of disease, medical or surgical treatment, in any of the following losses, the company will pay the Benefit Amount equivalent to a percentage of the face amount.
  • Hospital Income Benefit (HIB) is the benefit received by the life insured if confined in the Hospital, as a result of Injury or Sickness, on the recommendation of a Physician as an in-patient, you will receive Daily Hospital Income.
  • Projected Investment Return applies to VUL insurance plans (protection + opportunity to grow). Values are calculated assuming the fund is earning 4%*, 8%* and 10%*. It is assumed that the mode of payment is annual. Keep in mind that VUL insurance plans involves risks as it depends on the investment performance of the company.
  • Projected Death Benefit is the amount of Life Insurance Coverage plus the Projected Investment Return. This is given to the beneficiary if the life insured dies.
  • Waiver of Premium on Total Disability the company will waive the premium payment if verified the life insured is totally disabled and cannot generate income.
  • Fund Value refers to the accumulated amount of money in a policyholder's investment account within a variable life insurance policy. It also represents the current value of the investments within your policy. It fluctuates based on the performance of the underlying investments and can go up or down over time. If the investments perform well, the fund value increases, potentially resulting in higher returns. Conversely, poor investment performance can lead to a decrease in the fund value.

There is more to learn than just the definition of terms. Consult your financial advisor to be guided for the things you need to know about your insurance policy.
